Nambo Zambo
“three musical explorers discovering new horizons together”
This is a collaboration with Nahro Zagros, our great friend and accomplished violinist from the Kurdish part of Iraq. Once we realized that Frankie’s clarinet and Nahro’s violin sounded so fantastic and full of life together, what started as music for fun turned into a successful trio CD with many concerts to follow. We’ve all enjoyed sharing, learning, exploring, and composing music together – styles include music from Macedonia, Louisiana, Greece, Armenia, Cuba, the Jewish diaspora (Klezmer), 1920s jazz from the USA, and more – all the time keeping it fun, strong, & accessible with moments of great beauty.
Appeared at the Eurocultured Festival, Manchester, and the Beverley and Musicport Festivals.
